What’s all the fuss about? I have never seen such a bog standard product receive so much interest over the past week. I
cannot credit it. Admittedly, this toilet brush is a beautiful design, if a toilet brush can be described as such. The Independant Newspaper has heralded the Cucciolo Toilet Brush as a luxourious designer bog brush.
I might get myself a new brush but even better I think I need to send one to Kim Woodburn, on last night’s episode of How Clean is Your House (I take a great amount of gratification seeing how dirty people’s houses can be) Kim used her finger, yes she actually ran her finger around the gentleman’s extremely brown and gungy toilet. I couldn’t believe it I had to switch channel. She definately needs the Cucciolo and the Brain Trainer from www.prezzybox.com me thinks.

Why not thank Dad for all those years of spider hunting with the gift of a Spider Catcher. Dad is definitely the hero when it comes to catching spiders, what would happen if he didn’t remove all those nas
ty arachnids from the house. The truth is sleeping in balaclavas would become fashionable or worse hair nets.
We all know that Spiders are attracted to ear wax and will creep across a pillow in the middle of the night and snuggle down for a cosy sleep in the orifices that should remain sacred, namely the ears.
With the Spider Catcher Dad can be a hero without the heroics, he can look brave even though he is actually petrified. The best part is the Spider Catcher doesn’t harm the spider unlike the glass and paper method, which often results in unavoidable amputation.
The final result, Dad will look brave and nobody needs to wear a hair net, apart from Hilda Ogden.
Spider Catcher £9.95 available from www.prezzybox.com

freeMy friends at www.prezzybox.com have been in a quandary. I can understand their distress. Is there such a thing as a nine syllable celebrity?
We have had many discussions, over tea, over biscuits and even over some cheese but to no avail. I suggested Englebert Humperdink but this didn’t quite hit the mark, although Englebert may have hit somebody called Mark.
Another came up with The Artist Formerly Known as Prince but is this really his name?
Anyway to stop them pulling their hair out, some people at prezzybox can’t afford to do this anymore, the first person to think of a 9 syllable celebrity and add as a comment will get a £10 voucher to spend on the greatest gift site ever www.prezzybox.com
To summarise get thinking and put your suggestion in the comments. The first person to come up with a genuine 9 syllable celebrity will get a £10 voucher emailed to them to spend on prezzybox.com (however, it is up-to prezzybox.com who is a genuine celebrity and Mr Papadopoulos, Pauline Fowler’s boss doesn’t count)

Father’s Day will soon be upon us, which set me to thinking “where did the idea of dedicating a day to our Fathers originate from?” After a bit of research I discovered it was first celebrated in 1909 in USA.
The founding of Father’s Day is attributed to a lady called Sonora Louise Smart. Sonora’s mother died in childbirth when she was 16, leaving Sonora’s father to raise six children on his own. Although, Sonora did help her father, when she reached adulthood she realised the difficulties her father had conquered. Consequently, she developed a tremendous amount of respect and love for him.
Sonora asked for a dedication to be made in honour of her father. She approached the Spokane Ministerial Alliance and suggested her father’s birthday 5th June for the celebration day. The request was to
o late for the 5th June and so the third Sunday in June was chosen as the day of honour in 1909. The idea of Father’s Day soon became popular and spread around the country. After sometime, President Lyndon Johnson signed a presidential proclamation declaring the third Sunday of June as Father’s Day. Then eventually in 1972, President Nixon established a permanent national holiday in honour of our Father’s to be held on the 3rd Sunday of June each year.
Many countries across the globe celebrate father’s day including Argentina, Canada, Chile, France plus many more. Maybe, it all began in the USA or perhaps each country has its own origins. What we all have in common is that we need to acknowledge our fathers and not forget the support and care they have given throughout our lives.
I have many happy memories of my childhood and doing exciting things with my Dad. My favourite memory is skipping down the street trying not to tread on the cracks. He always said there would be a bear round the corner if I did tread on a crack. We would get to the corner and there would a big growl. Dads are great even to this day there is nobody who can make me laugh as much as my Dad. I know his favourite gift is a big cuddle but I think we should all buy our Dad’s a great gift for Father’s Day and show our appreciation.
Great gift ideas www.prezzybox.com

Being a bit of a history buff I was delighted to find some interesting information regarding one of best known games manufacturers in the UK, John Jaques. A name synonymous with Croquet and Table Tennis.
However, I had no idea that John Jaques II was the inventor of some the best known and much loved parlour games. Ludo, Snakes & Ladders, Happy Families and last but certainly not least Tiddley-Winks.
I have John Jaques II to thank for the happy vision of my Dad’s belly wobbling with joyous laughter when he says “Did you know I am the World Tiddly Wink Champion, I once beat Fred Fanakapan”. Who is Fred Fanakapan and why is this funny? I really don’t know but everything my Dad says if funny to me.
I also have the wonderul memory of many happy hours playing Snakes & Ladders with my Nan. We would rattle the dice and munch on homemade coconut macaroons and fizzy lemonade by a warm fire with Grandad softly snoring from the depths of his armchair.
Bring back the simple things in life!
I would love to hear anybody else’s memories of playing these games either when young or old?

After my ordeal of running further than the end of the garden path I decided to host a girlie night in. This entailed curbing my friends insatiable desire for chocolate. The perfect answer was without doubt the Pink Party Fountain . The thought of the chocolate oozing down the sides of the pure pinkness was too much for a girl’s constitution. I couldn’t wait for the party to get started. All my friends arrived that night with their own choices of things to dip. However, Celia’s dipping choices left me somewhat p
erplexed. Orange segments wrapped in anchoivies, she had to be confronted. “What do you think you are doing? You can’t dip oranges in chocolate” Luckily I had two Lazy Susan Spin & Dips else Celia’s oranges would certainly contaimnate my Stilton and Chili Pepper dips.
Anyway the party continued without any further setbacks and a good time was had by all. I would certainly recommend the Pink Party Fountain but next time I might move upto the Commercial Chocolate Fountainfor upto 40 people. For my own use of course.

Well the race was over! I hadn’t won but I had beaten Sandra Slingback. Thanks to my Voodoo Princess.
I stood at the starting line, my legs frozen and my stomach churning faster than a Victorian milkmaid. From out of nowhere came the word I had been dreading. GO! I pushed away as fast as I could. However, Sandra Slingback must have pushed harder. She came flying past.
Sandra glanced my way and seemed taken aback by my chosen hair adornment. A little string doll wrapped in a piece of pink Burberry, very similar, to the piece missing from her coat. I think the pin holding the material to the doll tipped the balance and Sandra ran straight into another contestant. What a kerfuffle! Of course I just kept running and Twinkle was proud to say “my Mum came third”.

Voodoo is the stuff of nightmares, dark nights and thumping drums in the distanct background. Or is it? Has prezzybox taken a step too far with these weird and wonderful new voodoo dolls.
I don’t think they have. Let me tell you a story!
My night sweats were uncontrollable. The fear was a pendulum swinging across my chest. I couldn’t put my feet down from the bed. The day of reckoning had finally come.
How was I going to beat Sandra Slingback in the parent’s 100m race? Why had I entered parent’s sports day? What foolish bravado had pushed me to reach these new heights of stupidity. I hadn’t run 1 metre in 20 years never-mind 100. 20 years of cakes and chips cloaked my once lean muscles. My lungs had become infested with office fumes and monitor fall out. The story was different for Sandra Slingback. She had long lean legs, a runner’s chest and of course trendy pink trainers.
I just couldn’t do it. It would be much easier to tell my little girl that I would have to miss the sports day due to important meetings at work. “But Mummy you promised” she squealed “You must do the race, I have bought you this good luck charm and she will help you win”, “Please, Please, Please” she exclaimed! Oh no I looked at my little gift from Twinkle. A “Voodoo Doll” I thought, surely this will bring me bad luck.
To find out if my Good Voodoo Doll brought good or bad luck tune in for another installment.
